Commander Keen: Keen Dreams

Sent to bed without supper for refusing his vegetables, Billy Blaze dreams he is trapped in Tuberia, a kingdom of living vegetables ruled by the tyrannical King Boobus Tuber. Armed only with Flower Power pellets that turn veggies into flowers, dream-Keen must fight his way free and wake up.

Keen Dreams (Softdisk, 1991) is the unofficial 'Keen 3.5' — a short prototype that bridges the Vorticons and Galaxy engines. Long obscure, it later became the first Keen game to be open-sourced, which is why Commander Genius supports it so faithfully.
